I have been playing the guitar since 1965. I became interested in the bass guitar in 1975, and have played both instruments professionally, on stage, and in the recording studio, since 1978. I have had the privilege of working with many Texas artists, as well as a few national artists.

Well, I know how to read music and I understand the fundamentals. But, that’s not how I learned to play and that’s not how I play today. My Dad knew I had a strong desire to play, so he bought a guitar and two song books with guitar chords from a pawn shop. This, combined with a radio and a desire, was all I needed.
I am very excited about this concept in teaching. The curriculum was written by me and, with just a few basics in music fundamentals, I can teach you how to play the way I learned…by ear!
